July 4th

What a lovely day! Slept late (9:00 AM), read the paper and did the cryptoquote and jumble completely, had a third cup of coffee, took a long, lazy hot shower and made plans with Trisha to hit a couple of OUTSTANDING garage sales before heading off to a wonderful 4th of July party. It was Trisha’s idea to do the garage saling and what a wonderful idea! I had a list of a few from Craigslist I had thought of going to go to but was enjoying my lazy morning. Glad Trisha is as addicted as I am!
We found a great sale that had the most interesting stuff! This sale did not have the usual kitchenware and baby clothes but some very different and beautiful things. The people were so interesting and nice, too! The goodies will be in the shop tomorrow! Trust me; it will be worth the trip! Nope, didn’t open the shop today but Abby and I will be there bright and early tomorrow morning (about 11 AM).
Uncle Leo and Hinda’s party was wonderful! We had a good time just sitting in their amazing back yard, eating good food, laughing with old friends and new and not having to be responsible for any little people. (It always made me nervous when I had my kids with me at a pool party. Yes, I was/am a paranoid over-protective mother! Sue me!) The weather was beautiful; not a rain cloud in the sky and just hot enough to make you remember it was July and the beginning of the summer.
We did leave before the fireworks so that we could take care of our doggies. Remember, Trisha is Abby’s Nana. Fireworks are cool, but the pups are scared of the noise.
Happy Birthday, America! Thanks for the time off to celebrate our country, our rights and our independence. Good idea!
